Today I was inspired to do a gernamium eco-chic look--something that was airy and fresh with hints of soft pinks similar to the hues in my geranium flower garden!
First I prepped my face with
Tarte Cosmetics Maracuja Oil. I love the Marcuja Oil because is gives skin a soft glow while delivering a burst of Vitamin C and is easily absorbed into the skin for quick hydration.
I then added
Tarte Cosmetics BB Tinted Treatment to the t-zone and blended outward. You can use your fingers or a foundation brush, but always start in the middle of the face and work outward--that way you are sure to avoid the dreaded foundation line around the jaw. The foundation does the an SPF of 30, wahoo!
In the crease, I shaded with
Tarte Cosmetics Femme Naturale in shimmering cocoa. I am skipping eyeliner for this quick look and instead bringing the dark shadow around my eyelash line--giving it a light smokey look.
A common mistake I often see is bring eyeshadow only to the corner of the eye (see squiggly), thus closing or boxing their eye in giving it the appearance of being smaller than it is. I recommend drawing an imaginary line from the corner of the eye to the temple, and blending shadow out to the line to open and widen the eye.
Bold brows are totally in--so have fun with it and really add some depth and definition. Be sure to focus on filling in a strong arch. I'm using
Anastasia Brow Wiz in caramel.
Add mascara to the top and bottom lashes, I prefer
Loreal Voluminous Mascara, and WAHLA you're a ready for perfect day of frolicing in the sun! I used a lip balm for my lips, and if you're planning to spend an extended time in the sun, please re-apply your SPF.
I love using
Tarte Cosmetics because their products are packed full of pure and powerful ingredients, but are free of many of the icky bad ingredients! Most of their products are also easily removed from their cases and housed perfectly in the
Dollup Case.
MUAH,
Nikki
