It is no surprise that Yves Saint Laurent’s Rouge Volupté Silky Sensual Radiant Lipsticks are one of the most admired lipsticks on the market – I mean not only are they remarkably luxurious on the lips but their packaging is simply to die for!
I think when summing up how amazing these lipsticks are, YSL really nailed it perfectly. In one word, they are simply sensuous. They have a creamy and concentrated consistency, which does a fantastic job at keeping the lips moisturized [not to mention looking beautiful of course]; but they also have a good amount of slip to them. The color pay off is fantastic – they leave your lips saturated in pure perfection with perfect coverage and looking incredibly smooth. And in terms of how long they last, I think it depends a lot on the shade but overall, I’d say they compare to the average lipstick.
My personal favorite shade is Lingerie Pink, which is described as a light creamy pink.
And now let’s talk about the packaging because, after all, a product’s packaging is as important as the product itself. And let’s face it, I am a real sucker for amazing packaging so let’s get started. A product’s packaging symbolizes what that product stands for and fosters an important user experience that reflects a brand’s image and purpose. Often times, we don’t have time to weigh out the pros and cons of a particular product; instead, we buy based upon the packaging and these lipsticks are definitely going to tickle your visual senses. They are seriously the most beautiful lipsticks I have ever seen. The gold cylindrical tube is embellished with YSL’s beautiful emblem around its perimeter and the result is pure gorgeous-ness! At the very least, they definitely are sure to enhance anyone’s vanity!
Overall, the YSL Rouge Volupté lipsticks are in a league of their own. Not only is the packaging beyond gorgeous, but the lipsticks themselves are fantastic. Lingerie Pink goes with me wherever I go and you can also find it in so many of my flat lays because it makes a beautiful photo prop. Personally, they are my fav! I definitely recommend them!
