I've been so inspired by apples lately--the kind you eat--and they're really putting me in the mood for fall! I usually pass them over when choosing a delicious fruit for myself, but I've been so inspiRED by their health benefits and their beautiful hues lately that I want red everything!

Red is my IT color for the fall and I dare you to try a little bit of red in your beauty routine--it really can brighten your skin, add a pop of color, give you a classic beauty look and channel your Parisian alter-ego.

1. Butter London's Liquid Lipstick in Come to the Bed Red

This is not an ordinary lipgloss--it's liquid lipstick.  Liquid lipstick is perfect for the person who prefers a creamy, smooth texture on their lips but wants a little more color than lipgloss.  Butter London's formula is my favorite on the market--they're buttery, smooth and no tacky!

2. OPI Big Apple Red

A perfect rich red hue to add a punch of color to your fingers or toes!

3.  Bobbi Brown Creamy Matte Lip Color in Jenna

Bobbi Brown does lipstick the best!  Her lipstick textures are always really creamy and moisturizing and they don't feel like you're using a crayon when you're putting them on--even when it's her matte formula.  I also think the shape of her tube is genius--it fits the shape of my lips better and improves my ability to put on lipstick without even looking in a mirror.  If you want a red with less color, try her Sheer Lip Color in pink blossom.

4. Giorgio Armani Sheer Blush

Add a sheer blush right on the apples of your cheeks and avoid using your blush too low.  I see so many women countering with their blush rather than using it wear they would naturally feel flushed. Choose a color that compliments your overall look, meaning, if your wearing a coral undertone lipstick use a coral undertone blush and if you're wearing a pink undertone lipstick wear a pink undertone blush.

5. Apples to Apples

An apple a day can keep wrinkles and fat at bay!  The apple is packed full of antioxidants that help to repair free radical damage to your cells (translating it helps you to stay looking younger) and one of the antioxidants, quercetin, can even contribute to boosting the immune system.  Not to mention, another study suggests that people who eat an apple a day have smaller waistlines, lower blood pressure and a reduced risk for developing metabolic syndrome. Yes, please!

A quick snack for a yummy, healthy treat is slicing an apple into a small dish, adding cinnamon and sugar, heating it in the microwave for one minute and then topping it with walnuts.  It tastes like sweet apple pie!
